Kohli-de Villiers will auction off RCB's kit for Coro's relief fund

New Delhi, Dt

India captain Virat Kohli and South African batsman AB de Villiers will auction off their Bangalore Royal Challengers kits and donate the proceeds to the Corona Relief Fund.

The announcement was made while talking to Kohli in an Instagram live chat. In the 2012 IPL, the team from Bangalore landed in a special green kit in the match against Gujarat Lions. In that match, Kohli and de Villiers scored centuries and scored a massive 3 for three. After which they won by 12 runs.

“We’ve played some memorable innings together,” de Villiers said. In the IPL match of 2017 against Gujarat Lions, I scored 17 runs. While at the opposite end, you (Kohli) also scored a century. It is rare for both batsmen to have a century. These memories are memorable for me.

"I thought we could do a lot together," he added. That's why I told you (Kohli) to catch the bat of that match. I also have a t-shirt from that match. Which has the signature of both you and me. I also have my t-shirt and my bat. The auction of Tara-Mara bats and gloves etc. could be a huge package for cricket fans. If this is auctioned online for which a huge bid can be made and the proceeds from it will be donated to the fund for the affected people of Corona in India as well as South Africa. Kohli also showed willingness to give his belongings for such a noble cause.
