Portugal's superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo practiced with some players at the national football stadium at Madeira, rather than the eighty-three of the government's lockdown rule. Pictures of Ronaldo's practice have gone viral on social media, criticizing the Portuguese government and officials for their displeasure.
The local official stated in clear terms that Ronaldo was not given the privilege to practice football in such a way as to break the lockdown rule. Ronaldo's mother became ill and gave him leave to return to Portugal, his Italian club, Yuventes. After this the Corona epidemic broke out and he was told to stay in Portugal.
"Ronaldo has the right to practice," said Pedro Ramos, Madeira's local health secretary. However, the lockdown rule applies to Ronaldo in the same way that it applies to other citizens.
Ramos figured that all citizens could work out of their homes. However, maintaining social distance is very important. Ronaldo did the same. In the current epidemic, we are all facing the same problem. He kept a safe distance from other players during the exercise.
Ronaldo is the best footballer in the world and he should step up and set an example for others, said Pedro Ramos, adding that Ronaldo did some exercise in the ground for a while and I don't think he would have added any risk.
