While there is a lockdown nationwide due to the Corona epidemic, most sports federations are training coaches-athletes and other professionals through the Internet. The sports ministry also recently held a video conference with three sports federations in the country and held discussions on future plans. Particular attention was also paid to events related to the upcoming Olympic Games and the Asian Games.
In the event of a lockdown when all games are postponed, the future of the sports ministry and federations has been busy planning. The Ministry of Sports has so far held discussions with hockey, shooting, wrestling, handball, tennis, squash, basketball, volleyball, Wushu, yachting, kayaking and canoeing, kabaddi and all India University officials.
