Corona's eclipse at the T20 World Cup, skepticism about holding this year's World Tournament

Australia may consider avoiding the next T20 World Cup in 2022. The ICC board members are scheduled to meet on May 28 and a member of the board told PTI-Bhasha on Friday that the ICC may consider avoiding the tournament.

According to the board members, the Kovid-19 epidemic has cast doubt on the T20 World Cup and Cricket Australia may also support the proposal. The ICC is scheduled to host the tournament from October 18 to November 15.

The ICC board meeting is preceded by a cricket committee meeting which will also discuss the situation, including sweating on the ball. It is hoped that the ICC's competition committee, chaired by Chris Tetley, will come up with a number of options.

"We are expecting three options from the ICC's competition committee," a board member told PTI on condition of anonymity. The first option is to host the World T20 World Cup with a 14-day break with spectator permission. Another option is to have the match in an empty stadium. The third option is to postpone the tournament until 2022.
