The ICC has issued guidelines for the resumption of cricket after the Kovid-12 epidemic. However, some of the instructions given in it are causing resentment among former cricketers. They have argued that some of the ICC's guidelines are impractical. Now when it comes time to start cricket it should be reviewed.
The ICC last week released a 'Back to Cricket' guideline on how to restart cricket after the Kovid-12 epidemic. The ICC has announced two months to prepare the Test bowlers. Apart from this, the cricketers of both the teams will have to train in isolation for 15 days before the match.
Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan said, "I don't mind if the players are kept in a 15-day quarantine and tested for Covid-15." Apart from that, if the cricketers are given more guidance, trouble can arise. Quarantine time makes no sense in such a situation.
Akash Chopra, India's one-time opener, said: "The current times are very fluid and with the situation changing, it is too early to talk about starting cricket. If players stay in quarantine and are tested then why should they take other precautions? That begs the question.
Former England spinner Monty Panesar said the series between England and the West Indies is being discussed in the near future. If this series is played, the international cricket world will get more clear guidance. We probably have some more practical advice. Which will come in handy to other countries.
