Preparations are underway to start cricket as the Corona epidemic continues. The England team has arrived on a tour of the West Indies and in the meantime the ICC has also made interim improvements in its playing condition. Under which, in the current match, if any player shows the features of Kovid-12, the team will be able to immediately include a substitute player in the playing XI instead. However, this permission is given only for Tests, not for T20 and ODIs.
The use of saliva to polish the ball to prevent the spread of the epidemic has been banned. While the connection substitution will continue and the decision of the match referee in this regard will have to be validated. The ICC said players would not be able to spit on the ball to make it shine. If a player or players spit on the ball, the umpires will make a prudent and light decision. If a team's players do this more than once, the team may receive a warning. If players make a mistake even after giving two warnings in an innings, they will get a five-run penalty.
The ICC has also ruled that the decision of neutral umpires for all international matches is sufficient. The ICC will assign responsibility for the matches to local officials on its elite panel. Each innings adds one more chance for teams to challenge the umpire's decision.
