Federer likely to retire after Tokyo Olympics

Zurich, Dt

Federer, the 6-year-old legendary tennis star from Switzerland, has hinted at retiring from international tennis. "My career has now reached its final stage," Federer admitted. I want to win one more Olympic gold medal as the ultimate achievement of my career. Swiss legend Federer holds the record for most Grand Slam titles and has won a gold medal in the men's doubles event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He won silver in singles at the 2012 London Olympics.

International tennis is currently suspended due to Corona and Federer has undergone surgery on his right knee injury. He is not going to participate in a single tournament this year. However he hopes to make a comeback next year. Federer will turn 9 in August this year. "The Olympics are special to me," he said. When the Tokyo Olympics are played in 2021, I will try to win a certain medal.
