Indian Cricket Board (ICB) President Sourav Ganguly hopes that the Indian cricket team will be given relief during quarantine during the tour of Australia. "We don't want the players to go that far and then stay in the hotel for two weeks," Ganguly said. Ganguly wants the Australian government to ease the quarantine rules for the Indian team and allow the Indian stars to play after less than two weeks of quarantine.
Australia has recently seen a spike in corona cases in Melbourne and some areas there have been quarantined. "Apart from Melbourne, the situation is much better in Australia as well as in New Zealand," Ganguly said. Because of this we are hoping for relief in quarantine time.
"We have approved the tour of Australia and we are going to tour Australia in December," Ganguly added. Hopefully, our cricketers will have to stay in quarantine for less days. "The fact that the players have been locked in a hotel room for two weeks after going so far is very disappointing," Ganguly said.
