West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has become the first bowler in T20 cricket to take 500 wickets. Bravo reached the 500-wicket milestone with the dismissal of Rahkeem Cornwall in the Caribbean Premier League in Trinidad on Wednesday. Bravo was playing for the Trincomalee Knight Riders in this match against the St. Lucia Jukes.
Bravo dismissed Rahkeem Cornwall in the fourth over of the match and claimed the 500th wicket. The 500-wicket haul includes Bravo's international and club matches.
Bravo has bowled so far in his career with an economy rate of 8.25 and has taken 11 or 4 wickets in a match. Lasikh Malinga is the second highest wicket taker in T20 cricket with 389 wickets. In third place is West Indies' own off-spinner Sunil Narine.
