IPL-13 kicks off, first match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, Chennai wins toss

IPL 13 started with a match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Batting first after losing the toss, Mumbai scored 12 runs in 1 over without any loss. Rohit Sharma-Mahendra Singh Dhoni will try to start the season with a win on the strength of a strong playing XI.


Due to Covid-19, this time the IPL is taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after almost six months. Mumbai have Quinton Decock, Kieran Pollard, James Pattinson and Trent Bolton while Chennai have Shane Watson, Faf Duplessis, Sam Curran and Lungi Engidi in the final 11 as foreign players.
