Kings XI Punjab beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs in the IPL match played at Dubai International Stadium. With this, Punjab has got the first and strong victory of the season after one defeat. Kings XI scored 206 for three with the help of an unbeaten 132 from skipper KL Rahul. In response, the Royal Challengers were bowled out for 109 in 17 overs.
Batting first after losing the toss, Punjab skipper KL Rahul scored 206 for 3 in 20 overs with the help of a banging 132-run innings. KL Rahul hit 14 fours and seven sixes in the innings and set a target of 207 against Bengaluru in reply to which the Bengaluru team could not even surpass KL Rahul's score and were all out for 109 runs.
Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul scored 128 runs. While the entire RCB team could not even surpass KL Rahul's score. RCB's entire team was able to score 109 runs and was out in 17 overs.
Rahul scored an unbeaten 132 off 69 balls, which is also the highest score of his career. He hit 14 fours and seven sixes in his innings. This is also the highest score of an Indian player in the IPL. The previous record was held by Rishabh Pant, who scored an unbeaten 128 runs.
