In the IPL match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Saturday, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 4 wickets in 20 overs against Calcutta Knight Riders and scored 142 runs. After which, chasing a target of 143, Calcutta won by 7 wickets with the help of Shubhaman Gill's tumultuous batting. This is Calcutta's first win of the season. This is Hyderabad's second consecutive defeat.

After Calcutta lost 3 wickets, Shubhaman Gill and Eoin Morgan took over the innings and shared 92 runs to give the team the victory. Shubhaman Gill scored an unbeaten 70 and Morgan scored an unbeaten 42.

Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first but the Hyderabad batsmen were on their knees against Calcutta's aggressive bowling. The Hyderabad batsmen could not even get a run rate of 7 in 17 overs. Because of this, Calcutta stopped the pace of Hyderabad's runs at 142 runs.

Manish Pandey scored 51 off 38 balls for Hyderabad. His innings includes 3 fours and 2 sixes. Riddhiman Saha scored 30 off 31 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six.

Chasing a target of 143, Calcutta got off to a bad start, with Sunil Narine getting out without opening an account. He was caught by Khalil Ahmed Warner. After which Nitish Rana and Shubhaman Gill took the wicket together but after a while Nitish Rana also got out. Rana scored 26 off 13 balls with the help of 6 fours. After which captain Dinesh Karthik came but he also got out without opening an account. After which Morgan and Gil took over the Calcutta match.
