Delhi Capitals have topped the points table by defeating three-time champions Chennai Super Kings in the 34th match of IPL-13. In the match played in Sharjah on Saturday evening, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 179 for 4 in 20 overs, after which the Delhi Capitals reached the target in 19.5 overs with the help of Shikhar Dhawan's (101 *) century.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan from Delhi scored an unbeaten 101 in a superb estimate and made a significant contribution to the victory. Chennai opener Faf du Plessis scored 58 while Ambati Rayudu (45 *) and Ravindra Jadeja (33 *) shared an unbeaten half-century.
Delhi tops the points table again
With the win under the captaincy of young Shreyas Aiyar, Delhi topped the points table with 14 points. Mumbai Indians and Virat Kohli's team Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently 12-12 with a 6-6 win.
