The 21st match of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE will be played in Abu Dhabi between Calcutta Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. In which Calcutta batted first and set a target of 168 against Chennai. In response, Chennai managed to score 157 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs despite Watson's half-century and Chennai lost by 10 runs.

The Chennai Super Kings bowlers bowled out Calcutta for 167 in their first innings. Tripathi scored 81 off 51 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes but he did not get proper support from the opposite end. Apart from that, no batsman of the Knight Riders could reach the figure of 20 runs. From Chennai, Dwayne Bravo (37 for 3), Karna Sharma (25), Sam Kure (26) and Shardul Thakur (28) took 2-2. The Knight Riders managed only 74 runs in the last 10 overs.

Chennai got off to a good start as they reached the target of 168 runs. Faf Duplessis and Watson were playing well from the first over but Shivam Mavi caught Duplessis in the fourth over. Duplessis scored 17 off 10 balls.

Rayudu and Watts lost 1 wicket in the powerplay and scored 54 runs. Chennai scored 90 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 10 overs. Chennai suffered a major setback in the 13th over. Ambati Rayudu missed out on a big score in the match and was dismissed for 30. Nagarkoti made them his prey. Chennai scored 10 for 2 off the third ball of the 13th over before Sunil Narine dismissed Watson in the next over. He scored 50 off 40 balls.
