In the 56th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 played in Sharjah, Sunrisers Hyderabad entered the playoffs by defeating Mumbai Indians by ten wickets on Tuesday and knocked out Kolkata Knight Riders from the tournament. Mumbai Indians set a target of 150 to win, which Hyderabad easily achieved in 17.1 overs.

David Warner contributed 85 and Riddhiman Saha 58 runs. After winning this match, Hyderabad has got a place in the playoffs. The Kolkata Knight Riders also had 14 points like Hyderabad and Bangalore, but their team was knocked out as the net run rate was worse than both.

Hyderabad captain Warner won the toss and elected to bat first. Mumbai lost eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 149 runs. Kieron Pollard from Mumbai scored 41 off 25 balls.

Apart from this, Quinton Decock contributed 25, Suryakumar Yadav 36 and Ishan Kish 33 runs. From Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma took three wickets for 34 runs in his four overs, while Jason Holder and Shahbaz Nadeem took two wickets each and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma returned to the field. Hyderabad made a change in their squad. Priyam Garg replaced Abhishek Sharma in the playing XI. In the Mumbai team, Jayant Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah and Trent Bolt were replaced by Rohit Sharma, James Pattinson and Dhawal Kulkarni.
