Shreyas Aiyar, who made his Test debut against New Zealand in the Kanpur Test, has made history. Aiyar, who scored a century in the first innings against New Zealand, has scored a half century in the second innings.
Importantly, he became the first Indian cricketer to hit a century and a half in the first Test and the 10th Indian cricketer in the world.
Shreyas hit 105 in the first innings and 65 in the second innings. Following Shreyas' half-century, India were able to cross the 200-run mark in the second innings with a lead.
By the time of the tea break, India had lost seven wickets. In the final over before the tea break, Shreyas Aiyar was caught behind the wicket.
