Russia in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup with a 3-0 victory over Sweden

Russia beat Sweden 3-0 to advance to the semifinals of the Davis Cup finals after winning their respective singles matches. Russia did not need to play a doubles match as they won the opening singles and took an unbeaten 2-0 lead. Russia will now face Germany in the semi-finals.
The first singles bout was extremely combative. Rublov defeated Sweden's Alice Yamer 6-2, 6-3, 6-6 (7-6). Russia's Medvedev, ranked second in the world, defeated Mikael Yamer of Sweden 6-4, 6-4 in straight sets.
Earlier, Germany advanced to the last four with a thrilling 5-1 victory over Great Britain. In the other semi-final, Croatia will face high profile Serbia. Croatia defeated the strong Italian team. Serbia beat Kazakhstan 2-1 thanks to Djokovic's superb performance.
