Sindhu knocks out No. 1 player in World Cup quarterfinals

India has suffered a major blow in the BWF World Championship 2021. Star shuttler PV Sindhu has been knocked out of the tournament after losing a quarterfinal match. Which means it's about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well.

PV Sindhu was defeated by World No. 1 badminton player Tai Ju Ying. In that match which lasted for 42 minutes, PV Sindhu lost 17-21, 13-21.

PV Sindhu lost to Tai Ju Ying of Chinese Taipei for the 5th time in a row. So far there have been 20 encounters between the two of which PV Sindhu has lost in 15 of them. At the Tokyo Olympics 2020, PV Sindhu was defeated by Tai Ju Ying in the semifinals.

Last time PV Sindhu won the championship in his own name. In Teva, she missed out on winning the sixth medal in the World Singles category. PV Sindhu continued to falter during the match and had nothing to do with Tai's speed. PV Sindhu faced difficulties in drop shots, to cover the court several times in the match.

Notably, PV Sindhu is the World No. 7 player and has won 2 Olympic medals. PV Sindhu defeated Tai Jun in the 2019 World Championships.
