Sydney, Dt

Japan beat Australia 2-0 in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers to qualify for the seventh consecutive year of the FIFA World Cup. With this, Australia lost the chance to get a direct entry in the World Cup. However, they have yet to play a play-off match, which could see them qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Saudi Arabia has also benefited from Japan's success against Australia and their place in the World Cup in Qatar has been confirmed. Kaoru Mitoma from Japan scored twice in the final to give the team the victory. Earlier, Japan had a golden opportunity to score a goal, but they could not catch it fast.

From now on, Japan will play against Vietnam, which is at the bottom of the points table. The Australian team will face Saudi Arabia. Which is only two points behind Japan in the points table. Its clash is going to be against China.
