The first day of the second Test match between New Zealand and England in Nottingham was a surprise and funny event.
New Zealand batsman Daryl Mitchell hit a six off the bowling of English spinner Jack Leach while batting against England and the ball fell into the beer glass of a woman sitting in the stadium. The beer also fell from the woman's hand.
Viewers, commentators and players were also taken aback by the incident. It was later revealed that the New Zealand team had bought the woman beer and that Darrell Mitchell himself had met the woman after the game was over and apologized.
Darrell Mitchell is in tremendous form in the current series. He is also not out for 67 in the first innings of the second Test after scoring a century in the first Test. New Zealand have scored 384 runs for the loss of four wickets on the first day.
