From IPL, not only cricket board but also players got rich, cricketers got Rs 2500 crore in 15 years

By selling the rights to broadcast the IPL for the next five years, the cricket board has got around Rs 44075 crore.

However, the auction is still going on and there is tension for C and D packages. Thus, the amount received by the board is still going up.

The IPL has enriched not only the board but also the players. So far in the IPL, players have received Rs 2,500 crore as salary. The players got Rs 551 crore for the 2022 season. Which was the highest amount ever.

When it comes to players, the following players have got the highest salary.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni Rs 164 crore

Rohit Sharma Rs 162 crore

Virat Kohli Rs 158 crore

The IPL has played 15 seasons so far and has played 957 matches. The IPL was started in 2008. Which has enriched the cricketers. Not only Indian but also foreign cricketers are earning crores of rupees.
