South Africa won by four wickets with 10 balls to spare in the second T20I against India after wicketkeeper-batsman Klaassen's 21-run innings with six fours and five sixes in a 21-run innings after an impressive performance by the bowlers . With this, South Africa took a 2-0 lead in the five T20 series. South Africa overcame the 18-run challenge to win by losing six wickets in 18.4 overs.
India lost due to poor batting and poor performance of spinners. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. Shreyas Aiyar scored 40 and Kish scored 4. However, India lost the sixth wicket in the 19th over for just 114 runs. However, an unbeaten 5-run stand between Dinesh Karthik (30 * off 21 balls) and Hershal Patel (12 *) in 18 balls helped India to 18 for 4.
In response, South Africa had a poor start. Bhubaneswar took three wickets and South Africa lost 2/3. However, Bauma (2) and Klaassen combined for 4 off 21 balls. The duo of Klaassen and Miller combined for 71 off 6 balls to take the team to the brink of victory.
