The Indian men's football team made history by winning against Hong Kong after 3 years. India beat Hong Kong 2-0 in the home Asian Cup qualifier. With this, India topped their group by winning all three matches and qualified for next year's Asian Cup. India qualified for the Asian Cup for the second year in a row and for the fifth time overall.
India's veteran Sunil Chhetri scored a goal in the win over Hong Kong. Which was the 7th goal of his career. With this, Sunil Chhetri equaled the record for most goals scored by Hungarian veteran Puskas. He also scored 4 goals in his career. Ronaldo leads the world in scoring the most goals with 114 goals. While Ali Diana has 104 goals, Dahari has 3 goals and Messi has 2 goals. After which Puskas-Chhetri gets a place.
Anwar Ali , Manveer Singh and Ishaan Pandita also scored for India. India scored two goals in the last minute.
