Indian women's athlete makes a comeback with a national record after signing a 4-year ban

Indian women's shot put athlete Manpreet Kaur has made a comeback after the ban. Manpreet Kaur, who returned last year after a four-year ban on doping, broke her own national record on the second day of the National Inter-Provincial Senior Athletics Championships.

Manpreet Kaur, 31, was banned in July 2017 for possession of a banned substance. He covered a distance of 18.06 meters in his fourth attempt. She became the first Indian woman to cross the distance of 18 meters in shot put. His previous record was 17.96 meters which he set in the year 2015. The Athletics Federation of India has set a qualifying level of 17.76 meters for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
