England fast bowler James Anderson is setting new records on a 22-yard cricket pitch as he ages. Andersen, 39, took a record 650 wickets in Test cricket by bowling Tom Latham in New Zealand's second innings on the fourth day of the second Test of the series against New Zealand. Anderson is the first fast bowler to achieve this feat in the longest format of cricket. With this, he has set another record in his name, leaving behind veterans Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
James Anderson has become the second cricketer in the world to play 100 Test matches after the age of 30. He achieved this feat when he came on the field in the Nottingham Test against New Zealand. Second on the list is England wicketkeeper Stewart, who has played the most 107 Tests since the age of 30.
Sachin Tendulkar, who has earned the status of God among his fans, and Rahul Dravid, famous as the wall of Team India, have played a similar 95-95 Test match after 30 years.
Former Australia captain Steve Waugh has played 92 Tests since the age of 30.
James Anderson has become the third bowler in Test cricket after Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne to take 650 or more wickets.
