Mumbai set a world record by beating Uttarakhand by 725 runs in a first-class cricket match, breaking a 92-year-old record.

The country hosts first class cricket tournaments. The game is a competition where cricket players get to play international cricket tournaments. The match was played between Mumbai and Uttarakhand in which the Mumbai team defeated Uttarakhand by 725 runs and this victory became a world record. No other country's team has ever won in first-class cricket by such a long margin.

Debut star Suved Parkar scored 252 and Sarfaraz Khan 153 in the match. Apart from this, the successful Jaiswal also scored a century. With this, Mumbai continued their journey towards the quarter finals by winning the match. Mumbai broke New South Wales' 92-year-old record for first-class cricket.


New South Wales beat Queensland by 685 runs at the time to set a new Sheffield Trophy winning record. In terms of runs scored in the Ranji Trophy, the biggest victory was for Bengal which defeated Odisha by 540 runs. Mumbai have won the Ranji Trophy a maximum of 42 times. Mumbai last won the Champions Trophy during the 2015-16 season. Mumbai scored 647 for 8 in their first innings.

After that, the Mumbai bowlers did not allow the Uttarakhand batsmen to survive on the pitch. Shams Mulani took five wickets to send Uttarakhand to the pavilion for 114 runs. Though the Mumbai team had a huge lead, the captain decided to bat again. In the second innings, Mumbai's successful Jaiswal scored 103 and Captain Prithvi Sawe scored 72.

Mumbai openers shared 115 runs while Aditya Tare, who came to play at No. 3, immediately scored 57 off 56 balls. Mumbai finally declared the innings at 261 for 3. Uttarakhand got a mountain-wide target of 794 runs. Against this target, Uttarakhand were bowled out for just 69, giving Mumbai a historic victory by 725 runs.
