Current Olympic champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has clinched the silver medal in the Pavo Nurmi Games 2022 by throwing 89.03 meters. The gold medal in this competition was won by Oliver Hollander of Finland. Oliver threw the javelin 89.83 meters away. For Neeraj, the show will be a tonic for next month's World Championships.

This was Neeraj Chopra's first tournament after the Tokyo Olympics. He has participated in a competition after 10 months. During this time he focused on training and recovery.

Neeraj Chopra threw 88.07 meters in his first attempt. He was fifth in the heat. In the final he started with a throw of 86.92 meters. This was his best attempt in the first round.

Neeraj Chopra, 24, broke his own national record by throwing a javelin 89.30 meters in the second attempt. Neeraj won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics by throwing 88.07 meters.

Neeraj Chopra crossed the 89 meter mark for the first time. Earlier, his best throw was 88.07 meters which he made during the Indian GP in Patiala last year.

Neeraj Chopra took very hard and difficult training for a great comeback. Pavo Nurmi is a gold event. This is considered to be one of the biggest track-and-field competitions since the Diamond League.
