Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah created a sensation by taking six wickets for just 19 runs in the first ODI against England. After which he got the top position in ODI bowlers ranking. However, Bumrah then suffered an injury and was unable to play in the third ODI. Bumrah had to lose the top spot in the ICC's new ODI bowlers ranking.
In place of Bumrah, New Zealand fast bowler Bolt regained the top spot. There is only one rating point gap between Boult and Bumrah, who is stuck in the second position. Bolt has 704 rating points , while Bumrah's rating points have gone up to 703.
Hardik Pandya's all-round performance in the series against England has seen him gain 13 places in the ODI all-rounder rankings and now reach the top-10. Hardik has got the eighth rank.
Spinner Yazvendra Chahal got seven wickets in the series. Due to which he has reached the 16th rank with an improvement of four places. Hardik Pandya is at the 42nd position in the batsman rankings and Pant is at the 52nd position.
Babar remains at the top among ODI batsmen. However, Kohli has come fourth , Rohit fifth and South Africa's de Kock sixth. All these have hit a spot. South Africa's Dussein has climbed three places to third in the ICC batting rankings after scoring a century in the ODI against England.
