The Commonwealth Games are going to be organized in Birmingham from July 28. PV Sindhu, who has won two consecutive Olympic medals for the country, will be the flag bearer of the Indian contingent at Commonwealth Games 2022. The Indian Olympic Association has expressed happiness over the appointment of PV Sindhu as the flag bearer.
Neeraj Chopra was expected to lead India in the CWG 2022 this year but with Chopra out of the tournament due to injury there was speculation that PV Sindhu might be given the responsibility this year.
PV Sindhu is India's biggest medal hope at CWG 2022. The country is hoping for a gold medal from PV Sindhu this time. Recently, Sindhu has proved that she is in great form by winning the final in Singapore.
