Former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri has made a shocking prediction about Team India's star all-rounder and Vadodara cricketer Hardik Pandya.
According to Shastri, Hardik Pandya may retire from ODI cricket after the World Cup to be held in India next year. Because Pandya wants to prioritize T20 cricket and that's why he may announce his retirement from ODIs like England all-rounder Ben Stokes.
The former coach said in a conversation with a news channel that Hardik Pandya wants to play T20 cricket and he may continue to play ODI cricket only until the World Cup is held in India.
Amid the debate about the declining popularity of ODIs, however, Shastri believes that the format of Test cricket will remain the same because Test cricket is of paramount importance. Players are now choosing based on the format. In the coming time, however, T20 cricket will dominate the league. In this scenario, the number of international matches will have to be reduced.
