Former cricketer Vinod Kambli's financial condition worsened, looking for work

Former Indian cricket team batsman Vinod Kambli is currently facing a financial crunch and is feeling a lot of financial pressure. The situation is so bad that, for money, they are ready to do any work related to cricket. On Tuesday, he was sitting in a coffee shop in Mumbai. Usually seen with a gold chain, a stylish cap and a cool outfit, Kambli was looking very modest at the time and his mobile screen was also damaged from the left side. The 50-year-old former cricketer became difficult to recognize.

BCCI's pension is the only income

According to Kambli, his condition has become so normal that he had to take the help of a friend's car even to reach the club. They don't even waste their half-smoked cigarettes and save them for smoking later. He said that currently BCCI pension is his only source of income and he needs work. He gets Rs 30,000 as pension from BCCI. Talking about his financial situation, Kambli said that he is a retired cricketer and is now completely dependent on BCCI pension. He also thanked the Indian Cricket Board for this.

Kambli said, he wants the assignment so that he can help the young cricketers. They know that Mumbai have Amol Majumdar as their head coach and he is also available if they need him.

According to Kambli, he has a family and he has to take care of the family. He has told the Cricket Association several times that he is with them if they need him. After retiring from cricket, there is no more cricket for you, but if you want stability in life, you must have assignments. He himself requested the MCA President that he is ready if he is needed.

I was not born rich but..

Kambli said, the situation is such that it annoys him. He was not born rich and he was able to achieve something in life only by playing cricket. He has seen poverty and often not even food. He used to go to Sharda Ashram School where he would get meals if he joined the team. Sachin Tendulkar became his friend there. He himself comes from a very poor family and misses his parents very much. However, he also said that cricket has given him a lot.

Notably, Vinod Kambli played 17 Test matches for India in which he scored 1,084 runs. While he scored 2,477 runs in 104 ODI matches. He scored 4 centuries in Tests and 2 centuries in ODIs.
