India and Pakistan are going to face each other in the Asia Cup today at 7:30 PM. Both the teams are preparing for the win. India has the best players but the truth is that only 11 will get the chance. Meanwhile, Srinagar-based National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jammu and Kashmir has ordered students not to watch today's India-Pakistan Asia Cup group cricket match.

Along with this, students have also been asked not to post anything related to the match on social media. A notice issued by the Dean of Students Welfare asked students to stay in their rooms during the match.

It is written in the notice, 'Students know that cricket series of different countries are going on in Dubai International Stadium. Students are directed to treat the game as a game and not create any kind of indiscipline in the institute or hostel.'

Penalty for watching matches in group

Students have been asked to stay in their hostel rooms and not to go to other students' rooms during Sunday's match. Students have been told not to watch matches in groups. The NIT notice said that if a group of students are caught watching a match in a particular room, the students allotted that room will be expelled from the institution's hostel. Also, all students present there will be fined at least Rs 5,000.

The controversy happened in 2016

In fact, after India's loss to the West Indies during the T20 World Cup semi-final in 2016, there was a conflict on campus between outside and local students. After that the institution had to be closed for several days.
