- Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia asked Vistara Airlines to respond on this
Mumbai, dt. 25 August 2022, Thursday
Former Team India all-rounder Irfan Pathan and his family faced a lot of trouble at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday. Irfan Pathan, who is part of the cricket commentary panel for Asia Cup 2022, described his experience through a social media post.
Irfan Pathan was leaving Mumbai for Dubai with his family. At that time, he had to stand for around 1.5 hours with his wife and children at the Vistara check-in counter at the airport.
After Irfan's complaint, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote, "It is very sad to know that you have been treated in this manner." Along with this, the Union Minister has asked Vistara Airlines to respond in this regard.
The veteran all-rounder tweeted, 'Today (Wednesday) I was leaving from Mumbai to Dubai by Vistara flight UK-201. I was treated very badly at the check-in counter. Vistara tampered with my confirmed ticket. I had to wait at the counter for around 1.5 hours to resolve this issue. I was accompanied by my wife, an 8-month-old baby and a 5-year-old baby.'
It was further written that the behavior of the ground staff was also very rude and they were making a lot of excuses. Apart from me, many passengers faced this kind of problem. I request the concerned authorities to act in this matter as soon as possible so that what I have gone through does not happen to anyone else. Former Indian cricketer Akash Chopra also replied to Irfan Pathan's tweet and said 'Hi Air Vistara, I didn't expect this from you.' It was written like that.
