New Delhi, dated 29 September 2022, Thursday

India's mainstay fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury.

The news agency has given this information on behalf of the Cricket Board. However, with the exit of Bumrah, Team India will feel a big setback in the World Cup mission. The T-20 World Cup is going to start from October 16 in Australia. However, no statement has been given by the Cricket Board in this regard yet.

Bumrah did not play in the Asia Cup due to injury and was a loss for India. India was badly knocked out of the Asia Cup. After that, Bumrah returned in the T20 series against Australia. However, he could play only two matches in this series.

Bumrah was not included in the playing eleven in the first match of the T20 series against South Africa yesterday.

The report said that Bumrah has suffered a serious injury and due to this he may have to stay away from the field for 4 to 6 weeks. Bumrah is believed to have a back problem. There may also be a fracture and Bumrah will be out of action for at least a month.

Before Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Deepak Hooda have also been ruled out of the World Cup squad due to injury, now India have suffered a third blow.

In place of Bumrah, there is a possibility that one of the two players who are kept on standby, Mohammad Shami or Deepak Chahar, will be included in the team.
