New Delhi , dated 22

Former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has announced that the home-away format will be implemented again in the IPL from next year. For the last three years, IPL matches were played only on selected grounds due to Corona. Although everything has started as usual now , the IPL will also be played again in the home-away format. Due to which all 10 teams of IPL will get to play matches at home.

In the year 2020, the IPL was played behind closed doors in three places in the UAE due to the outbreak of Corona. While in the year 2021 it was decided to play in Delhi, Ahmedabad , Mumbai and Chennai. However, due to the increasing number of corona cases in the IPL team, it was postponed and after that it was shifted to UAE. This year, 10 teams played in the IPL and both the teams were divided into two groups of five each and they got to play a total of 14 matches. While from next year, an IPL team will get to play a total of 18 matches, 9 at home and 9 at the rival team's ground.

Ganguly also said that from next year, India's domestic cricket will resume as usual. Due to Corona, for the first time after 2019-20, there will be no cut or control in the domestic cricket calendar next year. The IPL for women cricketers will also be held next year. Along with this, a new tournament will also be started for under-15 girls.

Not worried about defeats , Rohit-Dravid has full confidence

India was knocked out of the Super-Four in the Asia Cup. After that, India was defeated in the first match of the T20 series against Australia. However, Indian Cricket Board President Sourav Ganguly said that , I am not worried about the defeats of Team India. I have complete faith in captain Rohit and coach Dravid. Rohit Sharma's winning average as a captain is 80 percent. India lost three-four matches recently but if you look at Rohit's previous record, out of which he captained 35-40 matches, India lost only five or six. Rohit and Dravid will be concerned about the team's performance and will surely improve it.
