India's junior men's hockey team won the Sultan of Johor Cup by defeating Australia 5-4 in the penalty shootout. India won the title for the third time . After the lead given to India by Sudeep, Holland made Australia equal . Indian goalkeeper Shashikumar Mohit Honnenahali made a winning appearance . India won 5-2 against Malaysia and 5-1 against Japan . When they lost against South Africa 4-5 . India's match against Australia and Great Britain was a 5-5 draw .
India's Sharda Nand Tiwari scored the highest seven goals in the Sultan of Johor Cup. Cooper Burns scored six goals. Australia scored in one of the first four attempts in the penalty shootout, while India scored in the second. Thus, after four attempts, both the teams were equal. Both teams scored in the fifth attempt. India finally won in the ninth attempt.
