The organizers of the World Cup will ban the sale of all types of beer containing alcohol in the 8 stadiums used for the football tournament (FIFA World Cup 2022). This decision comes 2 days before the start of football matches in Qatar. However, non-alcoholic beer will be available for fans in 64 matches. FIFA has confirmed this after talking to the organizers. FIFA said in a statement that the decision was taken following discussions between the host country and FIFA officials. A total of 32 teams are participating in it. Brazil has won the title the most 5 times.
When Qatar began the bidding process to host the World Cup, the country agreed to respect FIFA's commercial partners and did so when signing the contract after winning the vote in 2010. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the host country was forced to change a rule allowing the sale of alcohol. However, this concession will not be available in Qatar.
Double blow for Argentina
Argentina strikers Nicolas Gonzalez and Joaquin Correa were ruled out of the World Cup due to injuries. Gonzalez suffered a hamstring injury during a training session on Thursday and will now be replaced by Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa. Joaquin Correa was left out of the 26-man squad due to a certain injury. Argentina take on Saudi Arabia in their World Cup opener in Group-C on Tuesday and the Netherlands four days later. The team's last group match will be against Poland on November 30.
