The reaction to PCB chief Ramiz Raja came to the fore
Asia Cup 2023 will be organized in Pakistan
The next ODI World Cup will be played in India in 2023
Whether the Indian team will tour Pakistan or not depends on the country's government: BCCI
Islamabad, dt. 26 November 2022 Saturday
Pakistan Cricket Board president and former Pakistani cricketer Rameez Raja has reignited old controversies. Ramiz Raja once again openly said that if Indian cricket team does not come to Pakistan to participate in Asia Cup 2023 then Pakistan cricket team will not go to India to participate in ODI World Cup 2023 and they will organize this tournament without us.
Asia Cup 2023 will be held in Pakistan while the next ODI World Cup 2023 will be played in India. A few days ago, the Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board, Jai Shah, clearly said that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan to participate in the Asia Cup and we will try to organize the Asia Cup at a neutral place. After his statement, the matter became more heated and very sharp comments were made from the PCB too. After this, many former Indian and Pakistani cricketers also came forward to vehemently express their opinion on the issue. The BCCI made it clear whether the Indian team will tour Pakistan or not, it depends on the country's government and only they have the right to take this decision.
PCB had also said at that time that Jai Shah's statement was not appropriate, but once again these words of PCB chief Ramij Raja could create controversy. India and Pakistan teams no longer play bilateral series, but both face each other in Asia Cup or ICC events. No bilateral series has been played between the two teams since 2012. Recently, a match was played between India and Pakistan during the T20 World Cup 2022 in which Team India won.
