Football giants and former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has found it costly to break the phone of his fans. He grabbed and smashed a mobile phone from a fan at Everton this year. The Football Association has fined him 50,000 pounds while taking action in this matter. Apart from this, he has also been banned for two matches. Ronaldo recently terminated his contract with Manchester United. Giving this information, the club said that both parties have terminated the contract prematurely by mutual consent.

What is the whole matter?

On 9 April this year, Ronaldo's side lost 1–0 to Everton at Goodison Park. After this, when Ronaldo came out of the field, a fan was making a video of him. Ronaldo, upset by the team's defeat, did not like it. They grabbed Fan's mobile phone and broke it. He has also been charged with misconduct by the FA following the controversy. An independent panel suspended him for two matches and also fined him. He was alerted by Merseyside Police. Even Ronaldo admitted that his behavior was inappropriate. The ban will not apply at the World Cup and will be transferable when he joins a club, regardless of country.

Following the incident, Ronaldo apologized on social media, saying, "It is never easy to deal with emotions in the difficult moments we are facing. However, we must always be respectful, patient and kind to all those young people" and that he loved the game. An example has to be set for all the youth. I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I invite this supporter to watch the match at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and the spirit of sportsmanship.
