The Indian team will now play the next match next year i.e. in the year 2023. India will start next year with a match against Sri Lanka. The three-match T-20 series between the two teams will begin on January 3 and the three-match ODI series will begin on January 10.

Who will be the captain of the team?

According to a report, it is being speculated that Hardik Pandya is likely to be announced as the captain of the T-20 series. Rohit Sharma, the regular captain of the Indian team, was recently injured during the one-day series against Bangladesh. This time the selection committee is likely to give opportunities to young players and some senior players are also likely to be left out of the team. Amidst this, there are more chances of Hardik Pandya being appointed as the young captain of a new team.

When will Bumrah and Jadeja come back?

Jasprit Bumrah was out of the team after the T-20 series against Australia in India this year. Bumrah is currently recovering from a back injury. On the other hand, talking about Ravindra Jadeja, he has been suffering from knee problems since the Asia Cup. However, now both these injured players have recovered. Three-day T-20 and ODI matches against Sri Lanka are going to be held next year, while Report Nusar is likely to return as both the star players. As India is also scheduled to host the ODI World Cup in 2023, the sooner these two players return to the team, the better it will be for the team.
