KL Rahul was injured during practice on Wednesday. Due to which there are doubts about his performance in the second Test against Bangladesh. Earlier, skipper Rohit Sharma was ruled out for the entire series. Rahul captained India to victory in the first Test. However, he failed to perform well with the bat. He scored 22 in the first innings and 23 in the second innings. At the same time, another opener and young batsman Shubman Gill scored a brilliant century in the second innings. The Indian team is leading the series 1-0. The second and final match of the series starts on Thursday, December 22.

Batting coach Vikram Rathore said that doctors are looking at Rahul's injury. After Rohit Sharma's exit, Bengal opener Abhimanyu Iswaran was included in the team as a backup. If Rahul is not fit before the match, Ishwaran can make his debut in international cricket. The 27-year-old batsman has scored over 8,000 runs in first-class and List-A cricket besides scoring 25 centuries. Also played a big innings of 233 runs. Abhimanyu Iswaran has so far scored 5576 runs at an average of 45 in 134 innings of 78 matches in first class cricket. He has scored 18 centuries and 23 fifties. That is, he has played innings of more than 50 runs 41 times.

If we look at his List-A career, he has scored 3376 runs at an average of 46 in 76 innings. He has scored 7 centuries and 21 fifties. Played a big innings of 149 runs. Recently, he went to Bangladesh as the captain of India-A and put in a spectacular performance.
