Indian women's team enters T20 World Cup 2023 final after defeating New Zealand

The Indian team has defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in the semifinals of the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup. With this, Team India has reached the final. Batting first, New Zealand set a target of 108 runs against India. The Indian team achieved it with the loss of two wickets and qualified for the final.

In this match, New Zealand set a target of 108 runs against India, which Team India achieved by losing two wickets. Parshvi Chopra took the most three wickets from India. Along with this, Vice Captain Shweta Sehrawat scored 61 runs unbeaten.


Charzia Plimer's 35 and Ejaben Gage's innings of 26 runs in this match took care of the team but they could not score. Parshvi Chopra took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs and pushed the Kiwi team on the backfoot.

Indian opener Shweta Sehrawat played another explosive innings to take the team to the final. In the semi-final match against New Zealand, captain Shefali Verma led the team to victory even after being dismissed. Shweta Sehrawat confirmed India's ticket to the final with a slow innings of 61 off 45 balls with 10 fours.

Team India, placed in Group D along with hosts South Africa, UAE and Scotland, won all their matches and qualified for the Super Six. Here he was defeated in the first match against Australia. After this, India defeated Sri Lanka in a one-sided match and entered the semi-finals. Here, the team confirmed the ticket to the final by getting a big win against New Zealand by 8 wickets.
