India vs Aus Womens T20 WC: What if the semi-final match is called off due to rain? Who will reach the finals... Know the equations

New Delhi, Dated 23 February 2023, Thursday

Women's T20 World Cup semi-final match between Australia and India (IND vs AUS) is going to be played today. The Australian team has been dominating India for some time now. In such situation Australia team is definitely looking strong in today's match, but team India is known to play fast innings at any cost. However, the Indian team has faced defeats in big matches each time. India has been among the top teams for the last five years but has not managed to win any major trophy. As expected, India entered the second ICC tournament this year.

The Indian team has not done well in the past against England and Australia especially in the knockout matches. In such a situation, today the Indian team has to forget the old memories and enter the field and win.

What if the semi-final match is canceled due to rain?

If the semi-final match is rained out and the match is not completed then this match will be played on Reserve Day. ICC has kept reserve days for the semi-final and final, i.e. if there is rain in the semi-final match, the match will be completed on the next day i.e. 24th February. The next day's match will resume from where the match was stopped due to rain. On the other hand, if it rains on the second day too and the match cannot be completed, then the team will be allowed to enter the finals based on the points.

If it rains on the next day too....?

In such a situation, the Australian team will enter the finals based on the group stage points. On the other hand, if not enough overs are bowled on the scheduled day or reserve day, the team that tops the group stage will advance to the final.

If the match is tied in the semi-final...

If the semi final match is tied then super over will be played. If there is no winner in the Super Over, the Super Over will be played until the winner of the match is found. This rule will also apply in the finals.
