The third Test match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. This indoor test is important for India. India will be eyeing to clinch the series by winning this match and if India win here they will qualify for the WTC finals. India leads the four-match series 2-0.
India will be eyeing to win the series
The third Test match between India and Australia will start on March 1 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. This test match is very important for India. India have won every Test match in Indore by one margin. India is unbeatable on this ground. Team India will be eyeing to win the series by winning the Test match. Australia is trailing 2-0 in the four-match Test series. Ahead of the third Test against Australia, Pat Cummins has withdrawn from the Test due to family reasons. Steve Smith has been made the captain in this Test. Australia will enter the field to win this Test.
India will qualify for the WTC final if they win
India and Australia occupy the top two positions in the World Test Championship. In the Test Championship, 12 points are awarded for a match win and four points for a draw. Australia has 136 points while India has 123 points. India was penalized five points for slow over rate which reduced India's points. Due to this, 12 points of England have decreased. Each country has played a different number of Tests. Hence the calculation is done on percentage basis. Australia is first with 66.67 percent while India is second with 64.06 percent. India will qualify for the WTC final if they win this test match.
