Indian shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh won the gold medal in the men's 50m rifle three position event at the ongoing ISSF Shooting World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. Aishwarya gave a brilliant performance to beat Austria's Alexander Schmiriel 16-6.
Aishwarya's success saw India win its fourth gold medal in the ongoing Shooting World Cup in Cairo. Overall this was India's sixth medal. 22-year-old Aishwarya Pratap Singh also won a gold medal in the World Cup held in Changwong last year.
Earlier, India's 19-year-old Rudranksh Patil won gold in the 10m air rifle event. Troubled by fever, Rudraksh finished last in the qualification. However, he achieved golden success in the final. He and Narmada's pair also won gold in the mixed team event.
