The 16th season of the Indian Premier League is starting from March 31. But before that, Australia's star player and former Delhi Capitals player Steve Smith is going to return to IPL.
One of the best batsmen in the world, Steve Smith will make his commentary debut in IPL 2023. Smith shared a video on his Twitter account saying, “Namaste India! I have a good news for you. I am joining IPL 2023. I am joining a great team in India."
Steve Smith represented Delhi Capitals team in IPL 2022 last year. But this year he refused to participate in IPL. The reason behind this was being told that the players are busy in preparations for the Ashes series.
Steve Smith has been active in the IPL for quite some time now. During this time he represented Pune Warriors, Rajasthan Royals, Rising Pune Supergiants and Delhi Capitals. But during this time he did not get much success. Smith has played 103 IPL matches in which he has scored 2485 runs. Meanwhile, he also scored a century in the IPL.
