The debate over Asia Cup 2023 is far from over. This year the tournament is hosted by Pakistan and India does not want to go to Pakistan due to political issues and security reasons. The matter has been settled by the boards of both the countries together. However, Pakistani players continued to react against India.
Many teams toured Pakistan: Imran
On the decision of Indian cricketers not to tour Pakistan, former Pakistan cricketer Imran Nazir made a big statement saying that India does not want to come to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 due to fear of defeat. Imran Nazir said during a podcast that there is no reason for security. India see how many teams have toured Pakistan. He added that the Australian team has also toured Pakistan. All this is just a cover up, rest of the truth is that India does not want to come for fear of losing to Pakistan, it is just an excuse for security.
People want to watch Indo-Pak match: Imran
Apart from this he said that people want to watch the match between India and Pakistan because there is a different excitement and atmosphere in the match between these two countries. The whole world knows and we as cricketers also feel that India-Pakistan matches are necessary to take cricket to every corner of the world. India is a very balanced team but India cannot tolerate defeat. This is a game where you will win some games and lose some games.
Decision taken for organizing Asia Cup
BCCI and PCB have taken a big decision regarding the organization of Asia Cup 2023. The tournament will be hosted against Pakistan. All India's matches will be played in neutral venues i.e. in any third country. However, this neutral venue has not been announced yet.
