Shooting World Cup: India's Rudranksha gets bronze medal in 10m air rifle

India's Rudranksh Patil won the bronze medal in men's 10m air rifle event in the ongoing ISSF Shooting World Cup on Indian soil. However, Chinese shooters dominated in this competition and both the top medals remained in their name. China's Lihao Sheng got the gold and Linshu Du got the silver medal. Indian women shooters could not win a medal in 10m air rifle.

Liao Sheng defeated Linshu Du 17-13 in the gold medal match. Earlier in the final, Rudranksh won the bronze by standing third with a score of 262.3. Hriday Hazarika, the heart of India, finished sixth with a score of 208.7. While in 10m air rifle, China's Yuting Hueng won the gold by defeating US's Mary Caroline Tooker by 16-4. Kazakhstan's Alexandra Le got the bronze medal. While Ramita, India's only shooter who entered the finals, finished fourth. India's Elavenil Valarivan and Nancy along with Narmada Raju, Tilottama Sen competed but did not make it to the finals.
