The first season of the Women's Premier League has concluded today. Mumbai Indians have defeated Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in the final match. Harmanpreet Kaur's team has won the title of the first season. Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bat first at the Brabourne Stadium. The Delhi team scored 131 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Mumbai won the match by scoring 134 runs in 19.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

The Mumbai franchise won the sixth trophy

England veteran Natalie Seaver Brunt has made Mumbai champions in the first season of the Women's Premier League. He scored an unbeaten 60 off 55 balls to win the title for the team. The Delhi team scored 131 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai scored 134 runs for three wickets in 19.3 overs to win the match. This is the sixth trophy in Mumbai franchise's account. His men's team has become champions in IPL 5 times.

72-run partnership between Natalie-Harmanpreet

Natalie Seaver shared an unbeaten 39 off 20 balls for the fourth wicket with Amelia Kerr. Amelia Kerr was unbeaten on 14 runs off 8 balls. Natali had earlier made a partnership of 72 runs in 74 balls for the third wicket with captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Harmanpreet got out after scoring 37 runs in 39 balls. Hilly Mathews scored 13 runs and Yastika Bhatia scored 4 runs. From Delhi, Radha Yadav and Jess Jonas lost 1 wicket each.

Delhi's innings

Talking about the Delhi Capitals team, at one time they lost 9 wickets for 79 runs. It looked like the team would not even reach the 100-run score... However, Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav took over the innings. The duo put on an unbeaten 52-run partnership in 24 balls for the last wicket. Radha scored 27 not out in 12 balls and Shikha scored 27 not out in 17 balls. Radha hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in her innings. So Shikha hit 3 fours and 1 six.

Delhi's veteran batsmen disappointed in the match. Apart from skipper Meg Lanning, no player could stay at the crease for long... Lanning scored 35 off 29 balls. It was run out. Marijan Kaip scored 18 runs and Shefali Verma scored 11 runs. Issy Wong and Healy Mathews took 3 wickets each for Mumbai. Amelia Kerr took 2 wickets.
