Bad news has come for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023. Star all-rounder Washington Sundar will not be a part of the team for the remaining matches of this season. A tweet from Sunrisers Hyderabad informed about Sundar's exit from the tournament. Sunrisers Hyderabad's official Twitter handle shared this information that Washington Sundar will miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury. However, the team has not announced Sundar's replacement.
Washington Sundar has yet to make an impact with bat and ball in this IPL season. In IPL 16, Sundar scored just 60 runs in five innings of 7 matches at an average of 15 and a strike rate of 100. Meanwhile Sundar's best score was an unbeaten 24 runs. Even with the ball, Sundar has been very disappointing this season. Sundar bowled 17.4 overs in 7 matches this season and took just three wickets. Sundar got three wickets in a single match while he could not take any other wicket in the remaining 6 matches.

Hyderabad will lose Sundar
Sunrisers Hyderabad will miss Sundar in the middle order without him in the squad. As the tournament progresses, the pitches will be more helpful for the spinners. Absence of Washington Sundar in this situation is a big blow for Hyderabad. Despite betting on big players this season, Sunrisers Hyderabad's performance has been very disappointing. Sunrisers Hyderabad have won only 2 out of 7 matches played so far. Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently 9th in the table with 4 points and their chances of making the playoffs are looking slim.
